My university is moving to requiring two-factor support and as of now, those voluntarily enrolled are unable to authenticate to the mobile app. Applications that don't support SSO send a push to a users device and the mobile app is not waiting long enough for the user to process the 2 factor method which in our case is DUO. The app sends 2 more "pushes" and then provides a failed authentication message.
Can SSO please be integrated into the mobile application? Most apps redirect to our Shibboleth login screen which captures user name, password, and processes the 2 factor if enabled.
Yes, we have had requests for this capability, and will work to support SSO on our Mobile Apps in the future. I have no date range I can give at this point, but know that it is on our feature request list. Thank you.
