Robert Richards Jun 21, 2018 10:09 AM (in response to Jeff Geller)That version of firmware is more than three years old. When is there going to be a new update?

Re: Omega PS 200 Current Firmware
Jeff Geller Jun 21, 2018 3:49 PM (in response to Robert Richards)Hi Robert,
With no new functionality being introduced into the PS200 there is not a need for a new version of firmware. If a new defect is found that necessitates a new version, development will look into it.

Re: Omega PS 200 Current Firmware
Robert Richards Jun 26, 2018 1:48 PM (in response to Jeff Geller)Well, we have been fighting an intermittent issue with the old style PS200 that will sometimes display an "Upgrade in Progress" error. The latest PS200 with the newer circuit board has not had this problem reported to us yet. Rebooting the PS200 resolves the issue but it seems to keep coming back. This has turned into a real head-scratcher for us. I'll continue to keep working on this one.

Re: Omega PS 200 Current Firmware
Jeff Geller Jun 28, 2018 9:14 AM (in response to Robert Richards)Hi Richard,
I can't say why exactly this happens to the older PS200 and not the newer PS200ET but an "upgrade" action on the PS200 is only endured as a manual effort. In a lot of cases, network intrusion tools invoke a barrage of HTTP GET and PUT statements across known HTTP port variants (80,81, 8080) and we have seen this to cause some unexpected behavior.

Re: Omega PS 200 Current Firmware
Robert Richards Jun 28, 2018 1:10 PM (in response to Jeff Geller)We believe the “upgrade in progress” is probably being triggered by security scans from our Networking people. We can launch an automated scan and it will trigger the error on our test PS200 Omegas and now we can consistently trigger it on the new PS200ET Omegas as well. That could be a serious problem.

Re: Omega PS 200 Current Firmware
Robert Richards Jun 28, 2018 8:56 AM (in response to Jeff Geller)Is there any documentation for the newer Omega PS200ET v1.1.0? I'm having a difficult time configuring one and haven't been able to change the password or configure it to talk with my Pharos server or even reboot it.

Re: Omega PS 200 Current Firmware
Jeff Geller Jun 28, 2018 9:17 AM (in response to Robert Richards)Hi Richard,
On the problem with changing the password, what web browser are you using? I have found the IE is not always very friendly with the PS200/ET web pages so I revert to using FireFox or Chrome.

Re: Omega PS 200 Current Firmware
Robert Richards Jun 28, 2018 9:42 AM (in response to Jeff Geller)I am using Firefox and I've tried Safari and Opera as well with the same results. I log in locally to get the IP address then I remote access the Omega. I have an error at the bottom of the screen saying "cannot contact this omega at omega-034086." The reboot command does nothing. The Change Password command launches a second browser screen saying that it cannot contact the server at omega-034086. The second browser address is http://omega-034086:8080/cgi-bin/admin I try to set up the Pharos server connection by putting in the server FQDN, the password, click on advanced to add the IP address as well. When I click on Save, I get the same results with a second browser screen being launched and a "cannot contact the server at omega-034086" error. The only thing I have managed to accomplish is the Omega name change but I have to manually unplug the Omega to reboot it.
