Cost Centers on Linux and/or without Popup client

Is there a way to get a user to charge a cost center when direct printing from a Linux OS that does not support a popup client? Our specific situation is a RedHat server that sends reports directly to printers. I can change the CUPS queue to allow for direct printing, but it only charges the user's account, not the cost center, since it's printing directly via LPR and not via the Popup client. Is there any way to force a user to automatically charge the cost center instead of the user account on the Pharos server? Or does that require a popup client to be installed?
