    Notice to MobilePrint 2.2 customers:

    Jeff Herald Guide

A few of our customers recently reported an issue related to high-volume job traffic. A primary symptom of the issue is that the Spooler Service fails, naming a MobilePrint DLL as the faulting module. Our technical support and development staff have made a patch available for customers who are currently experiencing this issue. This does not affect everyone, so please contact Pharos Support so that we can make sure the patch is right for you. We will have a permanent fix available before the end of the month and we will notify you directly to help you perform the update and answer any questions you might have. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

          Hi all,

Just to update you on the progress of this update to MobilePrint.  In the message above, I mentioned that we expected to have an updated version available by the end of February.  As happens in software development, it sometimes takes longer that expected, so an update is still forthcoming.  We are doing the final testing on MobilePrint 2.2.1 now, and will announce it as soon as it's ready.

MobilePrint 2.2.1 will be a replacement version for 2.2.  It will be a standalone installer that will install in a new server, and it will upgrade from previous versions, 1.3.2 or higher.  If you have 2.2 now, this version will update it to 2.2.1 and will install the necessary fixes.

At the same time as MP 2.2.1 is released, an updated version of the Secure Release Service (SRS) will be provided.  These two updates function together to provide a remedy for the problem mentioned above.

Thank you for your patience.  We are working to make sure these updates are properly tested so that you may apply them in confidence.
