I'm sure this question has a simple answer but I haven't found it yet. The accounting/business department here will sometimes archive cost centers without letting me know, leaving some users without the ability to print until they obtain a new cost center. That's not a big deal, but because scanning requires logging in to the MFPs it also prevents them from scanning when they don't have a valid cost center.
I've tried to work around this limitation to set up a scan-only cost center with a limit of $0.01 (less than the cost of one copy or print) just to assign to users temporarily so they can log in to scan until they receive a new cost center. However, upon testing this scan-only cost center, it allows me to make copies, even though I don't have the available funds.
I have Enforce Budget Limit enabled... are there any other required settings to prevent charging more than is available? Thanks in advance. We have Uniprint 8.4.
