    Uniprint 64bit

Is there a 64 bit version of the Uniprint Suite for version 8.4?

          Good Morning Dave,

Even though the last several version of Uniprint run on 64-bit platforms, the programs themselves are 32-bit and you will see the *32 next to them in the Task Manager's list of running processes.  We would need a response from Pharos Development regarding whether or not they plan to release 64-bit executables in any future release.

          Regards,

          Steven

There is no current plan to release Uniprint 64-bit executables at this time, however, this can change at anytime.

                  Hi Hany,

Any particular reason not to move to 64-bit executables?

                  Regards,

                               John

                      Hi John,

There is no particular reason, but we have other higher priority development tasks which we are working on at this time.  If we find providing 64-bit executable present high market demand, our position can change to meet the market needs.

                      Best Regards,

                      Hany

Perhaps playing devil's advocate here, but is there any reason to need/require a 64-bit version?

                        Regards,

                        Steven

                            Steven,

This is a great question because our goal is to find the market needs and the community is a great place for this discussion.  To extend this further, s I mentioned, we have many other tasks to weight against providing Uniprint 64-bit executable and to name some of what we have in mind, below are some examples:

                            - Improve the Print Center (ex. adding an option for users to report failed print jobs and a configurable option for the administrator to approve refunds)

                            - Providing a Web remote admin as first step to full Web Admin

                            - Providing Web reports with scheduled reports option

                            - Support IP6

                            Best Regards,

                            Hany
