I'm having the same exact issue. Does Pharos know about this?
When you send a range from Acrobat (versions 7 and higher) to a PostScript printer, you will be party to a behavior within the Acrobat Options page called "Send as range" (actually, you're always party to it, but it is more pronounced when page ranges are used). And, indeed, it does cause earlier versions of our PCounter fits because encapsulating things like font information to a page are just not ADSC compliant in the purely "Adobe Red Book" sense. So we developed this little Knowledge Base article:
So there are three options:
- Don't do this anymore. Use the "Extract Pages" function of Acrobat Standard/Professional and create a single document. But that's really not an option, so:
- Always go into the Options panel and change the Send as Range option. That is painful too, so:
- We went ahead and updated our handling of this situation in a later PCounter.exe release. The permalink to download the new PCounter files is found in the second-to-last paragraph of the above-mentioned KBase article after the tutorial on what it is and how it works.
This worked!!!! Many thanks Scott for helping us resolve!
