Uninstalling the Device Scout

If you uninstall a Device Scout from your server, it will appear with an “uninstalled” status in Beacon (Discover > Device).

 

To uninstall the Device Scout:

 

1. Navigate to the Windows Control Panel and select Programs > Uninstall a Program

    (or use Add/Remove Programs if you are using an older version of Windows).

 

2. Select Pharos Device Scout and click Uninstall.

 

Or, you can navigate to Start > Programs > Pharos Systems International > Pharos Device Scout > Uninstall Device Scout.

 

NOTE: By default, the Device Scout will leave its configuration data and log files in case you choose to re-install the Device Scout at a later date. You can remove these files by deleting the Device Scout folder, at one of the two following locations:

 

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\PharosSystems\DeviceScout

 

OR

 

C:\ProgramData\PharosSystems\DeviceScout.
