In the Fleet Manager, the Serial Number, MAC Address and Asset Number fields contain a link which opens a dialog box with detailed information about the individual device in that row. To see these links, one or more of these data fields must be enabled via the Columns button. On the Status tab, you can also click the Details link next to a warning indicator in the Supplies, Toner, and Service columns. The most frequently referenced fields are displayed in the topmost section. You can access additional device information on the Toner, Volume, and Device Info tabs.
- On the Fleet tab, select any of the four device views: Meter, Toner, Volume, or Status.
- Locate the device you want to explore.
- Click a link in the Serial Number, MAC Address or Asset Number field.
NOTE: To view these links, the associated column must selected via the Columns button.
Device details: primary fields
The device model name.
The device manufacturer name.
A unique sequence of numbers and letters assigned to an individual piece of hardware or software for identification purposes.
A unique identifier of a device connected to the Internet.
The MAC (Media Access Control) address is a factory-assigned hardware address that uniquely identifies each node of a network. The MAC Address is your device’s unique hardware number.
A user-specified alphanumeric field assigned to a device.
The version of the software program or set of instructions programmed on a hardware device.
The area information entered by the user in the Edit Supplemental Device Data dialog box. The Area could represent the physical location of the device.
The floor within the building where the device is located.
The building in which the device is located.
The first time the Scout discovered the device. If the device was first discovered within the last 30 days, an icon appears to the right of the date/time field. Hover over the icon to view more information.
The last time the Scout reported discovery or usage information. This field is not updated when the Scout reports status information. If a device has not reported within the threshold (48 hours), an icon appears to the right of the date/time field. Hover over the icon to view more information.
The text currently displayed on the device. This text is used to trigger the status indicators on the Fleet > Status page.
Toner tab fields
The Toner tab displays the individual device's Last Supply Read date along with toner levels and toner descriptions. You can view the toner levels for all devices on the Fleet > Toner page.
Last Supply Read
The last time the Scout collected supply information.
Percentage amount of black toner remaining.
Percentage amount of cyan toner remaining.
Percentage amount of magenta toner remaining.
Percentage amount of yellow toner remaining.
Black toner ordering details for the device.
Cyan toner ordering details for the device.
Magenta toner ordering details for the device.
Yellow toner ordering details for the device.
Volume tab fields
The Volume tab provides meter read information from yesterday through the life of the device. You can view this information for all devices on the Fleet > Meter page.
Last Meter Read
The last time the Scout collected meter information.
Total Page Count
Total Mono page count
Total Color page count
Print Total page count
Print Color page count

Device info fields
The Device Info fields show additional device information that may or may not appear in the Fleet Manager pages. There are two types of device information: the information the system determines after normalizing through the database and the raw agent reported information coming directly from the device itself. While most device views display normalized information, the Device Info tab displays the raw information that the Scout collected from the device.
Output Asset Name
Reserved for future use.
Unique name given to a computer connected to the Internet.
The SNMP Community string(s). Displays the SNMP Community string information specified during scout configuration.
The SNMP Port. Displays the SNMP Port specified during scout configuration.
The device description reported to the Device Scout.
The device location information reported to the Device Scout.
The system name reported to the Device Scout.
The system description reported to the Device Scout.
The device type reported to the Device Scout. (Examples: Multi-function Device, Printer, Copier, etc.)
The device technology reported to the Device Scout. (Examples: Laser, etc.)
Region containing the device
Site containing the device
Building containing the device
Floor within the Building containing the device
