This problem may indicate that the attached hardware (MFD/switch) is powered down or malfunctioning. If there are no problems with the hardware, one or both of the Ethernet Link Mode properties may need to be changed. To change these properties:
- Enter the configuration menu at the Omega SmartPAD (contact Pharos Support if you do not know how to do this).
- If it is the Ethernet port labeled "LAN" that is not working, select the Network screen. If it is the Ethernet port labeled "Print" that is not working, select the Firewall screen.
Enter a new value for the Eth0 Link Mode/Eth1 Link Mode property. Possible values are:
- 0 = autonegotiate up to 100 Mbit full duplex for hardware that supports it, otherwise up to 10 Mbit full duplex (this is the default)
- 1 = 100 Mbit full duplex
- 2 = 100 Mbit half duplex
- 3 = 10 Mbit full duplex
- 4 = 10 Mbit half duplex
- 5 = autonegotiate up to 10 Mbit full duplex
Start at 100Mbit full duplex and proceed downwards until you see the yellow status LED light up.
