This problem may indicate that the attached hardware (MFD/switch) is powered down or malfunctioning. If there are no problems with the hardware, one or both of the Ethernet Link Mode properties may need to be changed. To change these properties:

  1. Enter the configuration menu at the Omega SmartPAD (contact Pharos Support if you do not know how to do this).
  2. If it is the Ethernet port labeled "LAN" that is not working, select the Network screen. If it is the Ethernet port labeled "Print" that is not working, select the Firewall screen.
  3. Enter a new value for the Eth0 Link Mode/Eth1 Link Mode property. Possible values are:

    • 0 = autonegotiate up to 100 Mbit full duplex for hardware that supports it, otherwise up to 10 Mbit full duplex (this is the default)
    • 1 = 100 Mbit full duplex
    •
    • 2 = 100 Mbit half duplex
    •
    • 3 = 10 Mbit full duplex
    •
    • 4 = 10 Mbit half duplex
    •
    • 5 = autonegotiate up to 10 Mbit full duplex

Start at 100Mbit full duplex and proceed downwards until you see the yellow status LED light up.
